[Bug] Extreme FPS drop when receiving large amounts of chat messages (Suspected: Chat Impressive Animation)

Describe the bug

When there are too many chat messages at the same time, the game FPS drops extremely low. Normally I have over 100 FPS, but during heavy chat spam, the FPS drops to only 8–22 FPS. The issue is suspected to be caused by the Chat Impressive Animation mod.

To Reproduce

1. Play the EndlessPixel / EndlessPixel-Modpack with Chat Impressive Animation enabled.
2. Receive a large number of chat messages in a short time (chat spam).
3. Observe severe FPS drop until the chat messages stop or the mod is disabled.

Expected behavior

The game should maintain stable FPS (around 100+ FPS) even when many chat messages appear, without significant performance loss.

Additional context

• Normal FPS: 100+
• FPS with heavy chat: 8–22 FPS
• Suspected problematic mod: Chat Impressive Animation
• The FPS returns to normal after disabling this mod.

You can try deleting/disabling this mod, or adjusting the configuration, to see if performance improves. If it does, we might consider applying these changes in the next update.

I did a test, and after removing the Chat Impressive Animation mod, there was no improvement in performance.

However, after I turned off the chat sound effects in Sounds, the problem, although still there, got a bit better.

I also found that the changes from Chat Impressive Animation are not obvious, so it can be considered for removal. There should be other mods that provide similar functions.

Looks like Chat Impressive Animation wasn't the main culprit after all. Based on your findings:

1. Chat sound effects (Sounds mod) have a bigger performance impact
2. Chat Impressive Animation effects are subtle anyway, so removal is reasonable

Next steps:

• I'll disable chat sounds by default in Sounds mod config, or look for lighter alternatives
• Consider removing Chat Impressive Animation in the next update

To further narrow this down, could you:

• Provide a Spark profiler report during chat spam (if convenient)?
• Or test with only Sounds mod enabled, all chat-related sounds turned off to see if FPS fully recovers?

This would help confirm if Sounds is the sole/primary bottleneck. Thanks again for your patience in testing!
