Unable to pull / build docker image

Due to lack of connectivity with dockers repositories grafana lab is unable to pull/build dockers images :

[developer@devbox metrics-grafana]$make lab
docker-compose -f telemetry-stack/docker-compose.yaml pull
Pulling influxdb (influxdb:1.1.3)...
ERROR: Get https://registry-1.docker.io/v2/: net/http: request canceled while waiting for connection (Client.Timeout exceeded while awaiting headers)
make: *** [stack-pull] Error 1
