How do I determine which rule is responsible for a given warning?

The line in question:

	launch = { }

Gives "Lua Diagnostics codestyle-check warning":

unnecessary whitespace after token '{'

The quick-actions for this warning only allow disabling diagnostics entirely, not just one rule:

I've tried all these in .editorconfig

space_around_math_operator = false
space_inside_square_brackets = true
space_inside_function_param_list_parentheses = true
space_inside_function_call_parentheses = true
call_arg_parentheses = true

• I'm using VSCode
• I've searched this repo for "unnecessary whitespace after token" which didn't help.

This is not a recommended style, so it cannot be support, and the project will no longer be updated. see: #225

So does this mean the formatter in sumneko's LuaLS is also no longer updated (since it uses this project)?

To be precise, it's just that it won't be updated by me anymore, and it's been that way for a long time. Luals has also seen no real updates for nearly two years. So my suggestion is, if you're choosing a formatter, consider EmmyLua Formatter, which is at least maintained by me. If necessary, I can also push for Luals to switch formatters.

So apart from this built-in rule regarding spaces in bracers, is there some way to trace rules?

I do quite like the way this formatter is visible in vscode's hints/warnings/diagnostics, and that it uses .editorconfig.
