Ghosts sent via SpotPass say “A communication error has occurred” when tapping touch screen to switch map. #8
Description
Happened on regular 2DS, not too sure if this applies to other models.
- Go to Mario Kart Channel
- Play a ghost, do the regular procedure that you would do when playing against a SpotPass ghost.
- Tap the Touch screen to switch map mode. The error will be displayed with “A communication error has occurred.” and the ghost will be deleted in MKC, with no way to play against it again.
My theory on this is that it’s trying to load a non-existent name in SpotPass, but maybe that’s just a random issue on my end. After hacking my console I got a lot of random people added in the StreetPass Mini Plaza with no clue as to why that happened, so maybe this is due to that happening.
