Show sources of stats

Description

Someone asked on reddit if it would be possible to add some sort of explanation about the actual sources of each stat.

Can I make a kind of out there suggestion? It would be super cool if whatever stat you hovered over would show a tooltip itemizing where the stat is coming from.

Example being for attack power being:

Total: X

Base: X

Stat Bonus: +X

I realize I know nothing about coding and addons😂 but I’m constantly wondering exactly where I’m getting my stats from but MUCH MUCH more importantly what order bonuses are given in the equation being used… no idea how much of an undertaking that would be. Just always wanted it.

Like If something gives a percentage based AP bonus for example, is that % being applied to my total AP, base AP, is it applied before I receive buffs or after? The equation for a lot of things like that is known at this point but near impossible to find solid confirmation online. It would make min-maxers drool.

Obviously it matters little due to sims being so available, but having that knowledge on hand would be valuable for a lot of solo/niche content or anyone who’s a sweat but finds themselves not playing with the perfect meta.

Interesting questions. Some of them are out of the scope of the addon, this addon is about the base stats underlying calculations. For the complete per-spell damage calculations there are other addons like spellcoda.
The addon is already breaking down mana regeneration, I can add:

• block from str
• armor from agi
• dodge from agi
• ap from agi
• ap from str
• spcrit from int
• mana from int
• crit from agi
• hp from stamina
• hit from weapon skill
• dodge from def
• parry from def
• block from def
• x from x rating
