Can't update via Microsoft Store or exe file downloaded from here

Description

Windows's version is 25H2, cant update via Microsoft Store. Tried to download the exe file from this site but it says it's not working with my operating system.
Many people have reported this issue on Microsoft Store but none is addressed by developer so far. Please at least tell me what's going on, thx

First, the Microsoft Store is comparable to a black box. We don't have much control in what's happening there. But one unexpected insider information: the Microsoft Store is not hosting the installer. It only downloads from a given URL. Unlike winget, which just takes every download link, the Microsoft Store is pretty nitpicking in which URL the Store accepts. The normal direct links to the GitHub releases aren't working, because of "redirects". This is why we usually upload the installer to GitHub as a normal file in a repository and link to it. Even this is not any more possible, because the new Auto Dark Mode 11 installer exceeds the GitHub 100mb file limit. This is why we developed our own little online installer, a little 5mb .exe which just downloads the normal installer.

Now we see many errors in downloads. Our first thought was, that just people living in China would be affected, because GitHub seems to be blocked in their country. Today we learned, that even people outside of China are affected. So we decide to try some things out.

1. Maybe we exceed GitHubs rate limit with the direct link to the installer. This is why I try to host it on my own webpage.
2. Maybe our online installer is causing issues? We don't know.
3. I should contact the Microsoft Store team and ask, if they can enforce the acceptance of GitHub Release URLs.

As you see, we don't know where the problem is. We are just - as usual - making workarounds for limits that Microsoft gives us. And sometimes these workarounds have unexpected behavior. We don't have an official Auto Dark Mode file server. So we can't host it by ourself. The current situation that I have a webpage is good for the store release, but it is sad that I need to use my own website for this.

And to everyone: just download Auto Dark Mode via winget. It's the same, but it works!

Thanks for the reply. Actually the download either from Microsoft Store or Github is fine, I successfully downloaded the exe file from Github as I mentioned above. Maybe it's just some misunderstanding about my description. Sorry about that.
The real problem is that when I open the latest version [AutoDarkMode_11.0.0.54_ARM64.exe] file, during the installation process it will pop up a window saying something like "it's not working with your operating system". That's why I also add the windows version which is 11 25H2 in the issue. Plus, I think that's also the reason why people can't update or install it via Microsoft Store anymore as well.
However, I downloaded the [AutoDarkMode_11.0.0.54_x86.exe] and it works finally, no "not working with your OS"-ish during the installation process. But still, I wish to install the x64 version since my OS is x64 version, which I think it would be more compatible. Hopefully there will be a fix for this soon, thanks!

Ah, this is actually a misunderstanding of the system architecture. ARM64 refers to the system with ARM architecture, while x86 architecture is the most commonly used architecture (Most people's computer is). When you say x64, it is actually a systematic bit, but it belongs to x86 architecture.

My Windows store says its already installed/updated, but on the app itself it says that theres an update available

Microsoft Store probably doesn't support upgrades at all. Why Winget isn't able to update ... i don't know.
