Description
Description
While using Hosted Weblate, the project was automatically locked and contributions were temporarily disabled.
The alert message displayed in the Alerts tab was:
Error message:
Could not push the repository.
Weblate could not push changes to the upstream repository.Too many retries
The upstream repository could not be temporarily accessed. Please try it again later.
Weblate will retry the operation once it is needed again, so the alert might disappear for temporary issues.
Steps to Reproduce
- Work on a translation project connected to an upstream Git repository.
- Wait for Weblate to sync or push changes upstream.
- Observe that the push fails and the project becomes locked with the alert shown above.
Expected Behavior
Weblate should successfully push changes to the upstream repository or retry gracefully without locking the project.
Actual Behavior
Weblate displays the "Too many retries" error and locks the project, preventing any contributions until maintenance is complete.
Additional Details
- The issue appeared about 9 hours ago and is still present.
- Environment: Hosted Weblate
- Affected feature: Push to upstream repository
- Screenshot attached (shows full error message and lock notice).
