Processing of GitHub repository URL is still broken

The instruction says:

Ideally, the file in data/ contains a link to https://github.com/User/App/ (not to a specific AppImage!)

However, even with the latest version worker.sh, this fails with:

It actually determined the correct "URL from GitHub API", but then just aborts without any useful error message 😞
