Code of Conduct

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a welcoming and inspiring community for all. We pledge to create an environment of respect, inclusion, and collaboration where everyone feels safe to participate, contribute, and grow.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment include:

  • Being respectful: Listen to differing perspectives with an open mind
  • Being inclusive: Welcome contributors from all backgrounds and experience levels
  • Being constructive: Provide helpful feedback and suggestions for improvement
  • Being collaborative: Work together to solve problems and achieve goals
  • Being honest: Communicate clearly and transparently
  • Being professional: Keep discussions focused on the project and community
  • Giving credit: Acknowledge and appreciate others' contributions

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind
  • Offensive comments or language
  • Deliberate attacks or disrespect
  • Publishing others' private information without consent
  • Trolling or spam
  • Any form of abuse or bullying
  • Sexual harassment or inappropriate content

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to:

  • All project spaces (GitHub, discussions, issues, PRs)
  • Official project events
  • Community interactions related to the project
  • Representation of the project in public spaces

Enforcement

Reporting Issues

If you witness or experience unacceptable behavior:

  1. Document the incident (when, where, what happened)
  2. Report to the project maintainers via email or private message
  3. Provide relevant details and context
  4. Allow time for investigation

Reports will be handled confidentially and professionally.

Consequences

Community members who violate the Code of Conduct will face consequences proportional to the severity:

  1. Warning: First-time minor violations
  2. Temporary Suspension: Repeated violations or serious misconduct
  3. Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated violations

Maintainers reserve the right to remove comments, issues, PRs, or ban users at their discretion.

Reporting Guidelines

Report To:

  • Project Maintainers (private communication preferred)
  • GitHub's community guidelines reporting
  • Email: [maintainer email if available]

Include:

  • Description of what happened
  • When and where it occurred
  • Who was involved
  • Any relevant links or screenshots
  • Your contact information (optional)

Our Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for:

  • Clarifying standards of acceptable behavior
  • Taking appropriate action in response to violations
  • Protecting the privacy of reporters
  • Maintaining a welcoming community
  • Setting a positive example
