[Bug] [compatibility] Issues in latest release (v2.4.2/v2.4.3) with async and/or c2me and/or vmp

Latest release (2.4.2) spawned me falling to void indefinitely and there is no blocks, its all black
and commands doesnt work (I can't tp myself out of void)
and now it is stuck at world save screen

even alt + f4 doesnt work lol, had to force close it with task manager :D

Then after removing Async
no longer black and no longer in void and it works
BUT after going to end and nether and coming back to overworld by breaking a shulker box game froze and fps went to 1 fps and take a look at pie chart

whenever I click ESC fps goes up but again after going to game again its 1 fps
t seems only overworld is messed up, in end and nether fps is ok

I even tried relogging to the game and issue persisted even after removing worldthreader
now even my minecraft launcher doesnt load up (IT IS FUCKED UP SOMEHOW its been 145 minutes lol)

The only changed factor is world threader so idk how the hell it is doing it lol

I finally got minecraft launcher to work after reinstalling then restarting then reinstalling then 5 more times of these steps
Anyway it sucked to make it work again
I did test again with v2.4.3 with async it just stuck at world loading screen 100% and didnt open and I had to alt+f4
then tested without async it was same 1 fps mess
then I removed world threader and added async again, and it was same 1 fps mess until I regenerated the chunks again and it worked
I will test again without async and with v2.4.3 with regenerated chunks(might previous version corrupted chunks and now may work)
fingers crossed wish me luck so my minecraft survive this time lol

@2No2Name Ok after regenerating chunks and removing async the v2.4.3 works
and fps is nice (a lil better compared to async)
BUT when I go through an end portal or nether portal while in creative mode, get get bugged and I stuck at flight mode all the time and I cant go nether or end its just overworld and stuck flight mode (maybe unequipting elytra helps but game is bugged and single player world should not be looking like a 1000 ping game)

AND the game is stuck at saving screen again after I left the world (I couldnt even alt+f4 only task manager worked)

and launcher spit this error
The game crashed: client shutdown

after removing VMP I been able to go to end and nether but it was same story after I went end then coming back to overworld and going to nether then coming back to overworld I stuck at flight mode again, its like game bugged and I was lagging A LOT even breaking shulkers doesnt drop them
so idk what can be the issue

EDIT: and again it stuck at world save screen, it might still be incompatible with c2me as well but I'm tired of testing

here is my modlist if you like to test (I play at 1.21.7 but many of the mods are for 1.21.8 but I edited their fabric.mod.json file to be compatible with 1.21.7 since 1.21.6 to 1.21.8 has no technical changes and all mods made for 1.21.6 can run on 1.21.8 and vice versa)

I can confirm the LAG simulator issue and stucking in flight mode is caused by world threader
after removing it chunks regenerate faster and smoother and there is no lag in switching worlds and no flight issue

EDIT: and again it stuck at world save screen, it might still be incompatible with c2me as well but I'm tired of testing

I had to test this as well and I did
even after removing c2me issue persisted and now again I cant go to end or nether despite vmp not present
So I'm afraid it might be another mod combination with your mod causing the issue
It might be sepal or annuus or server core or gputape for the in game issue
and AsyncWorldSave for saving world screen stuck bug

@EGOIST1372 I'm not sure if the mods you are mentioning in your latest comments are related to the title of the issue you opened.

But, I want to share my experience and logs regarding Worldthreader, Async, and C2ME.

I am running Minecraft 26.1.2 with Fabric 19.2

The mods I used are Async, Worldthreader, and C2ME. I disabled C2ME for isolated testing with only Async and WT.

The Worldthreader version I was using was 3.0.0, which introduces some changes that are noted to not be well tested yet, however I think my report may help at least a bit. Async version was 0.2.2+alpha-26.1.2 and C2ME version was 0.3.7+alpha.0.65+26.1.2. Note that I also testing 2.8.7 with the same outcome.

I believe Worldthreader has a soft incompatibility with Async.

When only running Worldthreader with Async, the game does not show any obvious issues with MSPT or FPS nor any crashing when "enableAsyncSpawn" and "enableAsyncRandomTicks" are both false and the mod is enabled. With Worldthreader debugging enabled, the console log was spammed with "Thread Thread[#131,worldthreader_minecraft:overworld,8,main] is requesting exclusive world access" and "This slows down the game, but at least doesn't break it. Current thread with exclusive world access: null".

Here is my log for the session using Async and WT with "enableAsyncSpawn" and "enableAsyncRandomTicks" disabled: https://mclo.gs/vQE8Db2

When enabling either "enableAsyncSpawn" or "enableAsyncRandomTicks", or when enabling both, the MSPT becomes unstable and goes above 50 MSPT and the TPS slows down significantly. The game however does not crash. I am unsure if using C2ME with Async and Worldthreader affects the issue itself as well, but I do know that with all three, the tick rate does not recover unlike with only Async and Worldthreader present.

With Async and WT while testing "enableAsyncSpawn" and "enableAsyncRandomTicks" enabled, the log is too large to share but the relevant stacktrace is the following:
