💡 What: Added visually hidden "Skip to main content" links immediately following the <body> tag on all HTML pages (index.html, contact.html, concepts.html, products.html). The link is robustly positioned using transform to prevent visual breakage and targets the primary <main> container, which was updated with an id="main-content" and tabindex="-1".

🎯 Why: To improve accessibility for keyboard and screen-reader users, allowing them to bypass the site header and navigation area and immediately jump to the core content.

📸 Before/After: No visual changes unless navigating via keyboard (pressing Tab at page load reveals the skip link).

Accessibility:

  • Added <a href="#main-content" class="skip-link">Skip to main content</a> as the first focusable element.
  • The .skip-link utility ensures the link is off-screen visually (translateY(-100%)) but moves into view on :focus.
  • Added tabindex="-1" to the main element so it reliably receives programmatic focus across different browser engines when the skip link is activated.
  • Logged this approach in .Jules/palette.md to establish a standard pattern.
